How often should I come for therapy and for how long?
Generally, people come for therapy once a week at the same time and on the same day. However, as therapy progresses some people space out sessions and come fortnightly. The duration of sessions is very much based on what you want from therapy. Some people come to explore a specific issue and find that a few sessions is enough before they feel better, whereas others want to work with deep seated issues that take longer and can work for months or years with a therapist. It all depends on what your goals are in therapy.

What happens if I decide I don’t want to continue in therapy?
This is entirely your prerogative but I would ask that we can agree an ending session. It is important to find a way of completing the work we have begun.
